Industry Career Centre
Situated in the John Reid Pavilion (stands 205-213) at this year’s Queensland Truck and Machinery Show, the CVIAQ Industry Career Centre will bring together all stakeholders involved in the workforce development of the commercial vehicle industry.
Stakeholders that will be represented in the Industry Career Centre include Australian Apprenticeship Centers, Group Training Organisations, Queensland Automotive Skills Alliance, Manufacturing Skills Queensland, Skills Tech and Skilling Solutions Queensland/DETA.
The Industry Careers Centre will also host a series of events that will effectively engage with the community and will promote the professionalism of the commercial vehicle industry and the opportunities that exist within the industry. Check out the Apprentice Challenge one of the special events that will be occurring at the Industry Careers Centre.
The Industry Career Centre will also provide information on how the apprentice system works including training delivery, training content, career opportunities and government assistance. Having all these stakeholders in one spot will allow employers, employees and potential entrants into the industry to get an understanding of what opportunities exist in the industry and how the training system works.
