Organised by the Commercial Vehicle Industry Association of Queensland (CVIAQ) since its inception in 1968, the Queensland Truck & Machinery Show is held every two years and attracts in excess of 340 exhibitors and 36,000 attendees.
Show Facts
In 2007 the CVIAQ commissioned the AEC Group to conduct an Economic Impact Study (EIS) of the show. The EIS identified that the show:
- Generated product sales of approximately $388 million,
- Generated additional expenditure in the Queensland economy of $58.23 million.
- Boosted gross state product (GSP) by $22.28 million
- Estimated total value of product on display at the 2007 show was in excess of $100 million.
- Provided full time equivalent employment to 472 persons
